Copper Boom Design

Remodeling can be daunting.

Copper Boom Design specializes in remodeling design. I know from experience that a good plan can save a lot of time and money. So, well before construction begins I work with my clients to make sure a plan is in place and materials are ordered to arrive on time. And during construction I’m there to make sure the design plan stays on track and find creative solutions when challenges arise. I understand that remodeling can be extremely overwhelming. There are so many details and so many options. Don’t worry, I’m here for you every step of the way!

About the designer:
Andrea Krajeski

After 15 years working for large corporations, I took a leap and poured my time and energy into my passion for interior design.  I studied at Heritage School of Interior Design while building my design business.  Coming from an extensive background in purchasing, merchandising, and event planning I am well equipped to handle all aspects of a design project.

I am a big-picture thinker with a strong bias for action who is unafraid to get into the weeds. I know how to take a dream and make it a reality.

  • I love older homes! So, my designs are guided by the age/style of the home along with my client's personal style.

My home was built in 1936 and has a subtle art deco vibe with early mid-century architectural elements. I'm guided by the natural greens of the PNW outdoors when making updates to my home.

I identify with the Japanese art of wabi sabi. I believe imperfection and asymmetry are beautiful and interesting. I'm not a minimalist or maximalist. Either are great as long as there is intention and personality.

  • I work in three design phases:

    1. Programming: existing conditions are documented, design styles are explored, project parameters are established.

    2. Concept Design: the design is fleshed out, showrooms are visited, samples are collected, and ultimately materials are sourced and specified.

    3. Administration: purchasing takes place, logistics are handled, materials arrive, on-site design decisions, and trouble-shooting occurs.

  • Unfortunately, because I mainly do remodeling projects, I don't do any remote design work. I like to be close to the construction site in case any last minute issues arise.

  • Old Seattle houses! Craftsmans, bungalows, mid-century architecture - let me at ‘em!

I also love beautiful restaurants like Stoneburner and Walrus & the Carpenter.

Traveling is very inspirational as well. I love Ireland and am in awe of how similar it is to the PNW - rustic, raw, and powerfully natural. I also love New Orleans - the architecture, food, music, and energy!

  • Outside of my work, I sing and play bass in a few bands. I also like to eat out and cook at home with my husband. I'm currently obsessed with cookbooks and can't stay away from the Booklarder. Oh, and I have two dogs that I spoil shamelessly.
